About Mr. Brewer

Mr. Brewer is an AV-Rated attorney: the pre-eminent rating indicating the highest level of legal ability and ethics. With over 40 years of law practice, he has been a partner in the law firm Motschiedler, Michaelides, Wishon, Brewer & Ryan, LLP for over 30 years. His practice includes Real Estate, Eminent Domain, Trust and Estate Planning, Trust Administration, Civil Litigation and Planned Giving. Currently Mr. Brewer’s principal focus is representing private landowners, commercial and industrial businesses and farmers in eminent domain cases; however he is an experienced lawyer in other areas of law.

Mr. Brewer previously represented a number of public agencies over a period of 11 years, providing full service legal counsel to governing boards of Municipal Corporations, special districts, and various sub agencies and departments, including Eminent Domain, land use development, and appellate court proceedings.

 

Mr. Brewer is currently representing landowners, farmers, and businesses who are impacted by the California High Speed Rail Project.

He is a 1967 graduate of the United States Naval Academy [B.S., Aerospace Engineering] where he was selected Brigade Commander [top-ranked Midshipman] and Captain of Navy’s NCAA Division One Basketball Team. Mr. Brewer served as a U.S. Navy Strike-Fighter Pilot from 1968-1976. He flew 238 combat missions through two combat tours from the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk deployed to Southeast Asia, 1970-1972; his combat awards include the Distinguished Flying Cross with Gold Star and others for heroism in flight.

After his military service Mr. Brewer matriculated San Joaquin College of Law to a Doctor of Jurisprudence. He is a licensed Commercial Pilot and received a Presidential Appointment as a Director, National Veterans Business Development Corporation, 2003-2006 [Washington D.C.].
